The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo, has called on Nigerian youths, to desist from ‘get quick rich syndrome’, adding such was one of major factors responsible for early and untimely death.
Penpushing reports that, Adeyemo gave the advice while receiving the ‘Awokose Odua’ Yorubaland Leadership Award 2022 from Flashlight Entertainment held at Continental Suites Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
The journalist turned estate business guru, emphasized that the youths should rather make plans, nurture it and watch it grow, stressing that they (youths) can make it, without going into fraudulent practices.
Penpushing further reports Adeyemo who expressed appreciation to the convener of the award told the Nigerian youths at the ceremony that one does not need to break the bank to become successful, stressing that life is step by step to attain success
“I feel elated receiving this award, this is actually the 21st award am receiving within three months and I believe its well-deserved and proves the fact that patience is indeed important. It is possible to make it in life even with this difficult climate all you need is to take it step by step, plant, nurture it and at the end of the day it would grow’, he said.
“You don’t need to break the bank to become successful , I started seven years ago with N2.5 million and here I am today, so our youth should always remember that they can make it in this country without defrauding’, Adeyemo added.
Penpushing also reports that, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the renowned estate company however explained to the guests that in life, time can never be taken as one would have to make it mature over time
“One of the challenges I have working with youths is that some of them don’t want to buy time with whatever they are doing, they want to mature within one or two, three years forgetting that I didn’t get here overnight it took me almost 7 years but they don’t want to see that, all they want is to get rich within a twinkle of an eye and at the end of the day they lose it all’, he stated
“I use to tell my people that you can acquire a G-wagon today and become wretched tomorrow, all you need to do is relax, invest that money for G-wagon and wait for additional three or four years then you would be able to buy even five G-wagons without any issue”, Adeyemo emphasied
Penpushing reports that, he used the occasion in encouraging Nigerian youth in diaspora to remember their father’s land as no one apart from them can correct the wrong in the country, adding that the “JAPA” syndrome would not help in a long run.
