The former Governor of Ogun State and Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District at National Assembly Otunba Gbenga Daniel on Tuesday picked nomination and expression interest forms to return to the Senate.
Penpushing reports that Daniel made this known of his Facebook page and displayed the forms, adding that he picked the forms to continue his efforts to provide effective representation for Ogun East Senatorial District of Ogun State
‘Today, I picked up my nomination and expression of interest forms as I seek to return to the Nigerian Senate, continuing my efforts to provide effective and responsive representation for the people of Ogun East Senatorial District under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections”, Daniel wrote
Penpushing further reports that it would be recalled that leadership of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ogun East Senatorial District had earlier picked the incumbent Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun as consensus candidate of the party ahead of the 2027 poll.
The incumbent Senator representing the District in reaction, however, alleged that he was shut out of the meeting which produced Abiodun as consensus candidate of the party, declaring the meeting as null and void, which holds no water
