Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of Taiwo Hassan, popularly called Ogogo following his demise on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66.

Penpushing reports that Amosun in a condolence message described the late actor as a widely respected filmmaker and screenwriter whose remarkable career left an indelible mark on the Nigerian film industry, particularly the Yoruba film genre.

The former Governor equally commiserated with members of the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) and the people of Ilaro, Ogun State, on the painful loss of the thearter icon.

Penpushing further reports that Amosun pointed out that the deceased would be remembered for his creative expertise and passion for his craft, qualities that endeared him to generations of audiences and contributed significantly to the growth of the industry.

The former Governor urged the family, members of the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) and all those mourning Ogogo to find solace in his remarkable contributions and the enduring legacy he left behind.

Penpushing also reports that he prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) would forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannah Firdaus and give the family and all who mourn him the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
