The Management of Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital Aro, Abeokuta has appointed Mrs. Olawunmi Florence Ladeji, as the Substantive and the First Female Director of Administration and Secretary to the Management Board of the hospital
Penpushing reports that the appointment was contained in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Ajibola, Joseph Oluwatoyin Abiola, emphasizing that the appointment takes effect from September 11,2025.
The statement added that the appointment follows her performance at the interview conducted by the Ministry and subsequent approval of the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Abuja, via letter with reference number SMH.547/T/92 dated 17th October, 2025.
Penpushing further reports that the statement said Ladeji an indigene of Abeokuta, Ogun State was born on January, 15,1972 in Abeokuta, and she is expected to bring a wealth of experience and academic achievements to her new role.
The statement added that her educational journey includes obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from University of Lagos in 1998, Masters in Managerial Psychology, 2008 from the University of Ibadan.
Penpushing also reports that Ladeji, who started her administrative career in the administrative department of the hospital on February, 3, 2003, has demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership, rising through various roles, starting from Administrative Officer II to Deputy Director of Administration and Acting Head of Administration before her latest appointment.
The statement stated that her professional affiliations include being a Doctoral Fellow of Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM), Associate, Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria, (AHAN).
Penpushing reports that she is also a certified attendee of the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria (ACAN), the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, (ASCON) Advanced Human Resource Training at Topo, Badagry and Egba New Initiative Foundation (ENIF).
The appointee is equally a co-opted member of the hospital’s Top Management Committee, secretary and desk officer of the Anti-Corruption Transparency Unit (ACTU) in the hospital, secretary, Pharmacy and Medical Laboratory Internship appointment committee, member, Creche management committee, and Chairman, counseling unit, among others.
Penpushing further reports that Ladeji is known for excellence in Performance Management, she is committed to working with the Provost and Medical Director to achieve the vision, mission and fulfillment of the tripartite mandate of excellent Clinical service delivery, Research and Training of the hospital.
The new Director of Administration’s hobbies are listening to intellectual music, counseling of people with happy ending, traveling and reading, while she is happily married to Pastor George ‘Segun Ladeji and their union is blessed with Children.
