A family has demanded refund from suspected herdsmen who allegedly abducted a member of the family, Wole Agboola in his farm, and collected the sum of N1.6million to regain freedom, but later killed the businessman even after collecting the ransom.

Penpushing reports that, family head of the deceased, Wale Oladoja gave seven days ultimatum for the suspects residing in Abaodo Area, Olukitibi Village, Akinyele local government, Ibadan to return N1.6m collected from the family.

The Mogaji (family head) who decried the recent increase in kidnapping and maiming of the people in the South Western States said he has been consulting traditional leaders in the area to determine fate, adding that those arrested being behind Agboola kidnap were herdsmen.

“I am still wondering why those we accommodated suddenly turned to our enemies. The abducted young business man with promising future was only doing his business when they attacked him and whisked him away’, he noted.

“To make it worse, they collected N1.6m from his family and later killed him. All this happened on my land. I have started consulting and I am giving them seven days to refund the money collected from the family’, Mogaji declared.

“We have accommodated them enough and we cannot tolerate this anymore. I am calling on all the traditional rulers in Odudua land to wake up and chase these monsters out of our land before they turn Yorubaland to battle field,” he said.
