The outgoing President of United States of America (USA), Donald Trump has disowned his supporters alleged to have launched attack on the Capitol and forced a halt to a Congressional joint sitting.

Penpushing reports that, Trump while reacting to the ugly incident said he was “outraged by the violence, lawlessness and mayhem”, adding that the demonstrators “defiled the seat of democracy”

The controversial outgoing President who will complete his term on January 20 for new President to take over, in a video posted on his Twitter declared that “to those who broke the law, you will pay’.

Penpushing further reports that, Trump who was also quoted to have declared that he would not attend the inauguration of the President-elect, Joe Biden, however, did not acknowledge his role in riling up his supporters with baseless allegations of election fraud and encouraging them to march to the Capitol.

The outgoing President who battled effortlessly to claim victory said to have been won by Biden, in November’s Presidential election promised a smooth transition, having finally conceded  to defeat.

“Now Congress has certified the results, a new administration will be inaugurated on January 20.My focus now turns to ensuring a smooth, orderly and seamless transition of power,” he  submitted.

Penpushing also reports that, Trump in a message to his “wonderful supporters,” added “I know you are disappointed but I also want you to know that our incredible journey is only just beginning.”

Meanwhile, it is recalled that management of Facebook had on Wednesday banned Trump from his accounts indefinitely, citing his intent to “undermine the peaceful and lawful transition of power’, he was able to post from it nearly 24 hours later.
