The Amotekun Corps, Ogun State Command has arrested a robbery suspect Sesan Sodade in Ode –Remo town of the state, having forcefully disposed his victim of his motorcycle number plate SGM 220 WA valued at N450, 000, and attempt to kill victim
Penpushing reports that the Corps Commander David Akinremi in a statement said the victim, Mohammed Bashiru was on a commercial duty with his Bajaj Boxer motorcycle when the suspect in a fake manner pretended to be a passenger.
The statement added that, Sodade negotiated with the commercial motorcycle for a ride to a destination, Anglican Church area, Ode-Remo in Remo North Local Government area of at the fare of N800
Penpushing further reports that the Corps Commander said the suspect observing that the location was not suitable to carry out his evil intention, asked the motorcyclist to proceed to Abuja Bar area at Ilisan Remo, and noticing the area was lonely and suddenly brought out a sharp knife from his pocket while on motion, he slit the right side of his victim’s neck, pushed him off and snatched the motorcycle to unknown destination.
The statement added that the victim as a result of the injury, was rushed to Ogere Medical Centre, where he was treated and discharged, adding that the suspect then removed the number plate of the motorcycle and dumped same in a latrine in his residence.
Penpushing also reports that the Commander said the suspect thereafter took the motorcycle to a burial ground at Kehinde Avenue, Isara-Remo, to get a buyer, adding luck however ran against him and was subsequently arrested and equally confessed to the commission of the crime on interrogation.
The Amotekun Corps boss in the statement said the case has been transferred to the Ogun State Police Command Investigation Department for prosecution of the suspect, while call for more collaboration with members of the public in fighting crimes and criminals in the state

‘On our part, while appealing for more collaborative efforts, they should be rest assured that information made available to us will be treated with all confidentiality it deserve. Meanwhile the case is being transferred to the State CID for prosecution of the suspect’, Akinremi added.
