Amosun eyes Presidency in 2023, set to take over from Buhari

Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has commenced tactical move to run for the 2023 Presidency in Nigeria, following emergency of a campaign group, clamouring for his need to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari.

Penpushing reports that, the presidential ambition of Amosun came to limelight on Wednesday,  as his posters and banners were seen being pasted on walls in some major areas of Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

The campaign group known as  ‘SIA Rebuild Nigeria(SRN), on the pasted banners  pronounced and predicted  Amosun as the next President, and therefore called on him to join the race in 2023, stressing that they are convinced that he would rebuild Nigeria.

‘All members of SIA Rebuild Nigeria (SRN) are calling on Senator Ibikunle Amosun for President. Nigerians call on Amosun to join 2023 presidential race. SRN!!! Greater After Nigeria’, the banner reads.

Penpushing further reports, one of the banners with All Progress Congress(APC) logo was pasted on the wall of the  home of the former Governor, who is now a serving Senator at the National Assembly, as well as door step of his elder brother known as Alhaji Agba.

The banners as at the time of filing this report, has continued to attract attention of motorists, passerby and residents of the town, with various views from them, in regards the group emergence and their choice candidate.

Penpushing also reports that, Amosun who ruled Ogun State for eight years, after office was elected as Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, and he is known to be the political godson of President Muhammed Buhari.

The controversial former Governor is currently leading a faction of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC), in Ogun State, while it is also recalled that his faction of the party, at the recently concluded local government election conducted a parallel congress.

Penpushing reports that, Amosun recently visited the ailing leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu in London, who is also rumoured to be nursing ambition for the Presidential race, as a similar campaign group for him (Tinubu) has also emerged
