A former Nigerian Ambassador to United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola has accepted the role of chairman at the 7th anniversary lecture of Penpushing Media, scheduled to hold on July 31, 2025.
Penpushing reports that a statement by the Chairperson of the anniversary, Dr Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi and Sina Adefolahan (Secretary) said Isola has graciously confirmed his attendance at the ceremony which is to take place at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital
‘I am proud to be associated with Penpushing team, and as a member I am proud and honoured to chair the event. I am also confirming that I will physically be in attendance to grace the occasion. I am also convinced about journalism role of Penpushing Media which today has made it a household name globally in the media industry’, Isola was quoted saying.
The Chairman of the occasion is renowned with administrative and leadership experience spanning both the public and private sector, who was appointed Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom by former President Muhammadu Buhari in January 2021.
Penpushing further reports that Isola who has to his credit a national award of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic, (OFR), had previously served as Minister of Mines and Steel Development in Nigeria between (2007-2008), as well as the Secretary to the State Government of Ogun State between (2003-2007).
The Egba born diplomat attended Harvard Kennedy School of Government, United States of America(USA), holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree and happily married with children doing well in their various fields of professions
Penpushing also reports that the notable Nigerian politician was in 1999, appointed Special Assistant (SA) to the Minister of Finance, while his profile including working with Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC) at early stage of his career
