The remains of Madam Rachael Hazzan, (nee Agada), mother of Hon Remmy Hazzan, a prominent member of Penpushing platform who died peacefully at 79 in her sleep on April 27, 2025 in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, will be committed to mother earth on August 2, 2025.

Penpushing reports that a statement by the family stated that the burial arrangements will starts on July 31, 2025 with a service of songs by the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Revival Centre at the deceased residence in Abeokuta by 5pm.

The statement added that a Christian Wake Keep by the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Revival Centre will hold on Friday at the deceased husband’s house at number 87 New Road, Omu-ljebu, Ogun State at 5pm.

Penpushing further reports that on August 2, 2025, a funeral service will be held at number 87, New Road, Omu-ljebu, Ogun State by  10:00am, which will be followed with entertainment of guests at Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE) football field by  1:00pm.

The family in the statement said a thanksgiving service will take place on August 3, 2025 at Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Revival Centre CAC Revival Centre behind Olomu’s residence in Omu-ljebu.

Penpushing also reports that it is recalled that the bereaved son, who is a clergyman and fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) had earlier confirmed the demise of her mother this explaining that she died peacefully in her sleep on April 27, 2025 in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

The statement added that the deceased from Igbara Odo-Ekiti was born on June 20, 1946, married to late Alhaji (Chief) S.K Hassan from Omu-Ijebu, Ogun State and survived by four children including Mrs Adetoun Faseyitan, Rt Hon Remmy Hazzan, Engr Bashir Hassan and Mr Bayo Hassan

Penpushing reports that Hazzan lamenting the loss of her mother disclosed that he was planning big ahead of her 80th birthday when death snatched her in sleep, adding that burial arrangements will be announced in due course

“I was planning BIG for your 80th, but you left peacefully in your sleep overnight even before your 79th. Adieu my beloved mother, Mrs Rachael O. Hassan. Funeral arrangements will be announced later”, Hazzan wrote.

Penpushing further reports that the management and editorial board of the media outlet in a condolence message to the family said the demise of Mama was like a thunderbolt to all members across the globe.

The founder of Penpushing Media Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji in statement on behalf of entire membership of the organisation across the globe prayed for the soul to rest with the Lord, describing her as Godly, a mother in million and known to be passionate about the welfare of people, irrespective of gender, age, religion and ethnic among others,

“The death news of Mama came as a shock to us. No doubt, she lived a fulfilled life and was a mother in million. We are going to miss her, been mother of one of us. We pray for her gentle soul to rest in perfect peace with her maker”,’ Kayode-Adedeji wrote
