The Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has affirmed that a notable Egba High Chief and chieftain of All Progressives Congress(APC), Chief Bode Mustapha worked tirelessly towards his(Abiodun) victory at the poll to become governor of the state.
Penpushing reports that Abiodun made this known on Wednesday at the 75th birthday anniversary of Mustapha held at his residence still under construction located in Government Reservation Area(GRA), Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
The Governor who could not hide his appreciation to Mustapha emphasized despite all odds and intimidation by his predecessor to frustrated Mustapha, he remains resolute and committed to support him to electoral victory,stressing that he would remain grateful for his genuine love for me.
“I recalled towards build up to the governorship race, Egbon stood firmly with me, he worked round the clock and inspite of intimidation from my predecessor against him, who also went ahead to remove his name as Director General of NDIC, he was not discourage, but resolved and decided to support to victory”, Abiodun added
Penpushing further reports that the Governor who profusely prayed for longevity for Mustapha said his(Abiodun) political journey and history will be incomplete without making reference to Mustapha, who he described a boardroom guru, adding that he is a man of his words, integrity and known to be courageous and goes all out to defend what he believes in
“You are a testament to someone who is dependable, reliable and constitently consistent. Your educational background has made you a boardroom guru. I am proud standing here today to celebrate your birthday with you. I am thanking God using for you to attain position of Osi Egba, a dream of over a decade”, Abiodun stated
