Engage muslim leaders in putting Nigeria in right path, Islamic group tells Tinubu

The Muslim faithful of Faedat Tijaniyyah for Yorubaland, Delta and Edo States have called on President Bola Tinubu to work with the religious leaders to build a better Nigeria, adding that they are not just spiritual leaders but stakeholders in the development of the country.

Penpushing reports that the Grand Caliph, Sheikh Muh’d Salis Adenekan gave the advice while speaking at in the inauguration of National Executive Council of the body held on Tuesday in Abeokuta, Ogun state Capital.

The Sheikh stated that noted that the Muslim BODY supports every policy and initiatives that addresses l poverty and promote healthcare as well as economic development, emphasizing that Faedat Tijaniyyah need to be reckon with by the government.

Penpushing further reports that the Muslim religious body commended the efforts of the President on the judgement of Supreme Court on local government autonomy, as it enjoined the leadership to strive for more prosperous and equitable nation,

The Faedat Tijaniyyah said religious leaders should ignore nor abandoned the pressing issues that confront Nigeria to leaders alone, and charged the new executives to work tirelessly to promote peace, unity, education and economic empowerment.

“I charged you with sacred responsibility of elevating the Faedat Tijaniyyah to new levels of excellence and recognition, to work tirelessly to promote peace, unity, education and economic empowerment, to be source of hope and inspiration to all and to let your leadership be guided by passionate commitment, innovative thinking and collaborative spirit’, he said.

‘Strive for more prosperous and equitable nation. Do not ignore the pressing issues that confront our dear nation. I urge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take decisive action to address the scourge of hunger and insecurity that threatens the very fabric of our society”, Sheik added

Penpushing also reports that the Senior Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Dr Iskeel Muh. Awwal while speaking with journalists advised Nigerians to be patient adding that the President meant well for the nation.

The Islamic cleric popularly called ‘Sugar” noted that protesting will not solve any problem, with a call on citizens to exercise patience, while the National Director of Strategy Planning and Coordinating, Sheikh Abd Mustapha who conducted the inauguration called on they for need to anchor their operations on unity.
