The Chairman of Ogun State Park Management Services Limited (OGSPAM), Alhaji Akeem Bodunrin has declared that he would remain committed to the welfare of his members across the twenty local government area of the state.
Penpushing reports that Bodunrin popularly called ‘Iyeru’, gave the assurance on Thursday and equally announced his regular support for the Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration, stressing that on his (Iyeru) part, well-being of his members will always be his number one priority.
The parks and garages boss speaking with journalists explained that in an effort geared towards improving the well-being of his members across parks and garages in the state, members were empowered under a special welfare package programme under his administration.
‘In order to make life better for our members across the state my administration under a special welfare scheme identified members that are in need of assistance and the union swiftly empowered them’, he said.
‘Large numbers of members were empowered with car/ bus for commercial purposes. Some were given cash to start a business of their choice. We even went as far as giving cash to members to sort personal issues. Motorcycles and Keke Napep were distributed to members as empowerment’, Iyeru added.
‘In line with the oath of office that I took on resumption of office, the well-being of my members is my number one priority. Also, in line with the directive of Governor Dapo Abiodun, aggrieved members of the union that left union in Ogun state were brought in and given responsibility. We have successfully redefined transport union in Ogun state so much that graduates are beginning to apply to be part of us’, he stated.
‘I shall continue to place the interest of members’ above personal interest. I sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Gov Dapo Abiodun and his team for their unflinching support. We shall continue to give him maximum support”, he said.
