A group known as Friends of Jagaban (FOJ) has organised a national essay competition for Nigerian youths aimed at providing the youths the opportunity to tell President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu what they expect from him in their various constituencies across the country.
Penpushing reports that the founder of the group Olufemi Solola explained that competition is coming up ahead of inauguration of the President-elect, adding that he (Tinubu) is a blessing for Nigerian and Nigerians.
‘Tinubu is blessed, Tinubu is the blessing, Tinubu will be used to bless Nigerians. So I am not supporting President Tinubu to impoverish Nigerians, l am supporting President Tinubu to make Nigerians prosperous in all areas of human endeavours”, he added.
Penpushing further reports that Solola, said the body will equally present to the President-elect the various suggestions of the youths, while charging Nigerians to fully support his (Tinubu) led administration.
The founder added that the competition is opened to youths between the age of 16-24, who are expected to write on the topic, “Nigerian youths expectations from President Tinubu for Nigeria, especially the youths”.
Penpushing also reports that Solola disclosed that winners from the competition will go home with N500, 000, while the first runner up will earn N300, 000 and the second runner up will get N200, 000 respectively.
Meanwhile, the Friends of Jagaban(FOJ in the statement emphasized that participants in the competition are however, expected to turn in their entries to jagabansfriends@gmail.com on or before 29th of May, 2023.
