The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC), Apostle Lawrence Achudume, has appealed to Nigerians on need to shine their eyes in electing responsible President in the country in 2023.

Penpushing reports that, Achudume gave the caution note during an interview with journalists at the end of the opening service of the 2022  Holy Convocation of the church held at the church headquarters in Abeokuta, with the theme: In The Days of His Power’.

The renowned vibrant cleric pointed out that maladministration coupled with insecurity across the country is responsible for the chain reaction of the governed to bad governance at the different levels of administration.

Penpushing further reports that, Achudume, added that many Nigerians are offended by the inequalities that pervade the country, expressing disappointment over a situation where those who lack quality are well renumerated, because they are close to the authority, at the expense of the brilliant and highly qualified.

The clergyman warned politicians to stop making fake promises when seeking position, stressing that Nigerians are more intelligent and creative and can make success of whatever business they lay their hands on.

Penpushing also reports that, Achudume expressed shock that, many residents do not even know their representatives in government, and equally condemned the practice of political office holders being worshipped by the governed

The cleric encouraged Nigerians to realize that they have the power to demand quality representation from their leaders, pointing out that government is not God and the people should not be at their mercy.

Penpushing reports that, Achudume emphasized that Nigerians should look beyond their environment and put national interest above personal needs in voting for politicians into various offices in 2023, stressing that Nigerians need a President who will unite the country.

The General Overseer of the Church, on the theme of the convention which coincides with the church’s 30th anniversary, urged Christians to be prepared for God to manifest His power in their lives.
