The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has raised alarm that kidnappers and other criminals are after his life, following his administration recent launch of security outfit code-named OP-MESA to wage war against crimes and criminality.

Penpushing reports that, Abiodun made this known on Wednesday at joint security meeting of Ogun and Oyo States chaired by him and his counterpart, Engr Seyi Makinde held in Abeokuta, the  state capital

The Governor who boasted that, he was not scare by the threats coming from the criminals said it was an indication that the hoodlums have started feeling the heat of the security outfit, adding that his administration will not relent in the anti-crimes battle.

“After we launched our OP-MESA last week, I understand that they have been working extremely hard. In fact, what I hear is that those criminals are now saying that Dapo Abiodun is making life unbearable for them and that they are going to come after me’, he said.

‘The criminals have decided to go after my life because I am making life unbearable for them.I am waiting for them. Well, let me assure you that I will continue to make life intolerable and unbearable for you and I’m waiting for you. We will ensure no more hiding place for criminals. I will continue to make life intolerable for them (criminals) and I will continue to do it”, Abiodun emphaised

Penpushing further reports that, it is recalled that, the Governor on January 21, 2022 re-launched the state joint security outfit where he declared war on kidnappers and internet fraudsters in the state.

The Governor however admitted that, the state has larger number of internet fraudsters in its territory, attributing the rate to high rates of academic institutions as the cause, but in swift response, an indigene of the state, Eddy Ademosu faulted the Governor’s claim.
