Penpushing member, Soremekun to bury mother October 15

The late mother of Dr Seyi Soremekun, a frontline member of the Penpushing platform and National Information Officer, United Nations Information Centre (UNIC), who died on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at a private hospital in Sagamu town of Ogun State will be buried on October 15.

Penpushing reports that a statement by the family said the last journey of Mama Marian Soremekun who died at 86 will start with a wake keep on Thursday 14, October,2021 at All Saints Anglican Church, Kemta, Kobiti, Abeokuta by 5pm

The statement added that, the programme  of events has it that, corpse leaves morgue for her residence located at Lakesi, Car Wash, Adatan, Abeokuta by 6am, for  lying in state at her residence by 7.30am, while a  burial service will hold on  Friday October 15,2021.

Penpushing further reports that, the family disclosed in the statement that, funeral service will hold at All Saints Church, Kobiti, Abeokuta by 10am, while interment will take place at Isabo cemetery, followed with a reception at Saint Bernadette primary school, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta, and thanksgiving service scheduled to hold on Sunday, October 17, at All Saint Parish Church, Kobiti, Abeokuta

The deceased is survived by her husband, Evangelist Adebayo Soremekun, six children,which include:  Dr Seyi Soremekun, Mrs Oluranti Afuape; Pastor (Mrs) Atinuke Bankole; Mrs Modupe Dauda ; Pastor Olufemi Soremekun and Motunrayo Soremekun, as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren

Penpushing also reports that,the late Mama Soremekun was a member of “Ina Olorun tan” Society at All Saints’ Anglican Parish Church, Kemta Kobiti Abeokuta, Bada Iyalode of the Association of Tilors and Fashion Designers of Ogun State, Balogun Egbe of Isale-Ijeun, Iporo Sodeke  and Odo-Oyo branch of the association, who served and loved God till the end.
