The former Ogun State Governor and new entrant of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC),Otunba Gbenga Daniel will on Thursday, February 18, formally register into the party at his Isote Polling Unit, in Sagamu Local Government area of the state
Penpushing reports that, Daniel was on Tuesday received into All Progressives Congress (APC) at his Asoludero residence, Sagamu, by five Governors of the party, which include: Prince Dapo Abiodun (Ogun); Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo); Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi); Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano) and Abubakar Bello (Niger).
The Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Revalidation and Registration Committee, Governor Abubakar Bello presented a broom, the symbol of the party, to Daniel to formally welcome him into the party.
Penpushing further reports that, Daniel in response explained that his decision to join All Progressives Congress (APC) “was well-considered and thought out”. In Ogun, no better time to join because we have a working Governor and needs support of all”.
The host Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun in his remarks expressed optimism and confidence that Daniel “will add a lot of value to our party.”
Meanwhile, the formal registration of Daniel into the party is slated for 12pm at a ceremony to be supervised by the Chairman of Ogun All Progressives Congress(APC) Revalidation and Registration Committee, Hon. Ademorin Kuye.
