The operative of the Oyo State security network, known as Amotekun has allegedly shot a policeman identified as Fatai Yekini in Sanga area of Oyo town around 3:00 p.m on Saturday during a carnival.
Penpushing reports that, the Amotekun operative identified as Ibrahim Ogundele has been arrested and detained by the police as at the time of filing this report, while the shot policeman in an undisclosed hospital.
The Oyo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident, adding that the shot officer works at the Ojongbodu Division of the command, while the Amotekun operative was immediately arrested and is being interrogated for his action.
