The former Ogun State Governor Chief Olusegun Osoba has tasked Nigerian Governors to emulate new security surveillance method put in place in Enugu State by Governor Peter Mbah in fighting crimes, describing it as superlative.

Penpushing reports that Osoba gave the task on Saturday at Galanite/reception organized by Enugu State Government for Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) at the end of their 3-day annual conference held in Enugu.

The Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) commended the governor for the new security initiatives with the establishment and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to tackle crimes.

Penpushing further reports that Osoba said he was able to confirm the authenticity of the surveillance security operations when he visited the building at the government house where happenings across the state are being monitored by security experts with the aid of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which captured the entire state and neigbouring states

The journalism icon gave a story when some people were kidnapped in the state sometime ago, recalling that he told his wife, when they both heard the incident in the news that, with new security apparatus provided by the Enugu State, the criminals will be apprehended in a matter of days.

Penpushing also reports that Osoba said he made the statement because he was convinced about the authenticity of the security facility and equipment, adding that as he earlier predicted the kidnappers were apprehended within a short period.

‘Mr Governor, I want to thank you for proving me right having earlier told my wife, that the criminals will soon be caught. I will also encourage other governors to emulate this new security initiative by you. I have also been telling the President to encourage other governors to follow suite. I am impressed and thanks for the good job you are doing’, he added

Penpushing reports that the Governor in his remarks said his administration will not relent in providing good governance for the citizens, residents and investors in the state, and thank media for adequate support his government has been enjoying.

The Governor disclosed that as part of his administration efforts in providing better life for the populace coupled with number of already completed and commissioned projects, disclosed that  cable car is in the offing to be introduced by his government in the coming year.

Penpushing further reports that Mbah, expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), to have considered Enugu State as venue for the 22nd annual conference, and equally enjoined the body to bring its biennial conference scheduled for next year to the state, assuring that his government is ready to support
