The wife of Oke-Ona Egba, Oba Dr. Adedapo Tejuoso, Olori Omolara Tejuoso has marked her 75th birthday in grandstyle and reflected on her family life which she described as largely peaceful, enjoyable and fulfilling.
Penpushing reports that the Olori was joined at the colourful ceremony held at Marque Events Centre. Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital by her husband, family members and well-wishers within and outside the state
The celebrator expressed gratitude to God for bringing her this far, stating that the 75 years had come with their share of challenges but had ultimately been characterised by more joyful moments than difficult ones.
“By the grace of God, 75 years have been easy, enjoyable and lovely. As we know, the journey of life has ups and downs, but I can say the ups have been more than the downs’, the celebratant said.
Penpushing further reports that reports that the birthday woman, who has spent more than 50 years in the Tejuoso family, appreciated her husband for his kindness and support, as well as her fellow Oloris which include Yetunde and Olabisi Tejuoso, for their love, care, cooperation and tolerance.
The celebrator explained that her relationship with the two women was not entirely new when they became family, noting that she had already been connected to their families before their eventual union.
Penpushing reports that she affirmed that the peaceful relationship often admired by outsiders does not mean disagreements never occur, stressing that occasional misunderstandings are natural even among biological siblings.
“People say we don’t fight and there’s cooperation, but what they don’t know is that even siblings of the same mother fight. Of course, fight will occur sometimes, but God help us,” she said.

The Olori confirmed that she has been in the Tejuoso family for over 50 years and it has been a peaceful place because the children are well trained, while she used the occasion to encourage guests to maintain their relationship with Christ, saying faith had helped her navigate life’s difficult moments.
Penpushing also reports that earlier at the thanksgiving service, prayers were offered for the celebrant and her family, with the cleric praying for long life, continued protection and the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
