The All Progressives Congress, (APC) Governorship candidate for Ogun State, Senator Solomon Adeola has restated his commitment to inclusive and people-oriented government if he is eventually elected to govern the Gateway State in 2027.

Penpushing reports that this assurance was made known in a statement by his media aide, High Chief Kayode Odunaro during a series of strategic engagement in his office held at Ilaro, Yewa South local government area of the state

The governorship hopeful while restating his commitment appreciated the overwhelming support he has garnered across party lines for his candidacy stressing that he will practice inclusive leadership and people-oriented governance when elected to run the affairs of Ogun State.

“I want to re-assure all my supporters, both old and new, that I will run an inclusive, people-oriented and development focused government where no stakeholders will be left behind. My political philosophy is built around consultation, participation, and collective decision making on issues of socio-economic development of our state” he stated.

Penpushing further reports that Odunaro stated that among the groups that Adeola engaged were leaders from the Ogun East Assembly (YAYI APEX), Yayi Teachers, Odogbolu Local Government Political Group, former Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) leaders and stakeholders from Ogun West Senatorial District.

The others include  Ógù General Assembly (Origin Group) and Triple A (Team Akinlade) group, while key stakeholders in these groups includes Alhaja Salmot Badru, former deputy governor of Ogun State, Hon Adekunle Akinlade popularly called Tripple A and a former governorship candidate in Ogun State, Hon Jinadu Ahmed, a Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) stalwart for LADO group in Ogun West as well as Comrade Sunday Odunaro, who coordinates Yayi Teachers across 20 LGAs of Ogun State.

Penpusing also reports that the Senator, while highlighting his numerous developmental interventions across Ogun West, Ogun Central, and Ogun East, including road projects, schools, healthcare centres, streetlights, erosion control works, markets, and other constituency projects stated that the success of realizing Ogun state governor of Ogun West origin through him depends on unity, discipline, sacrifice, and sustained grassroots engagement across all parts of Ogun State.

The candidate stated that his administration would build on his achievements across Ogun State as well as those of the incumbent government while ensuring that Ogun State’s resources are deployed for the benefit of its people.

Penpushing reports that he assured all new supporters of a sense and right of belonging following their support for his ambition stressing that he will continue his engagement of all aggrieved or dissatisfied stakeholders.

“I will convene additional reconciliation meetings involving stakeholders and aggrieved political actors to ensure inclusive participation and integration of all support groups into campaign activities” he promised.

Penpushing further reports that former deputy governor, Badru speaking in one of the engagements, expressed overwhelming support for Adeola’s governorship aspiration by the Ogun West people this time around and acknowledged his developmental interventions, grassroots appeal, political inclusiveness, and commitment to the advancement of Ogun State adding that emphasis now is the need for unity, reconciliation, grassroots mobilization, and strategic coordination.

The former federal lawmaker Akinlade speaking for his group and the new Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters of the Senator stated that the governorship aspiration of the Senator and Ogun West has gone beyond partisan party politics but a historic duty for equity, justice and fair play in Ogun State’s 50 years history.

Penpushing also reports that he, however, stressed that like the Ogu Assembly group, that there is need for equal treatment of members, recognition of contributions, inclusion in campaign structures and opportunities for participation in government.
