A pressure group known as Yayi Progressives Movement (YPM) on Sunday raised and presented ₦1billion campaign support fund and 27 campaign vehicles to strengthen All Progressives Congress(APC) political structure across Ogun ahead of 2027 general election.

Penpushing reports that ceremony held at Ake Palace Pavilion, Ake, Abeokuta, drew All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, stakeholders and party supporters from across the state, as well as the inauguration of the movement’s state executive members..

The coordinator of the movement, Hon. Olusegun Kaka, in his speech described the inauguration as a significant moment of unity, progress, and shared vision among members, expressing appreciation to attendees

Penpushing further reports that Kaka explained that the ceremony marked a major step in consolidating grassroots political mobilisation and emphasized the need for continued commitment to the growth and development of Ogun State.

“This is not just a moment of celebration, but a time of gratitude to God and shared joy among us. This occasion reflects our collective commitment to progress, unity, and vision. As we gather, let us remain focused and continue to work tirelessly for the development of our people and our dear state’, he said.

Penpushing also reports that Convener of the movement, Armstrong ‘Tope Akintunde, in his address stated that the gathering was driven by three major purposes, including support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dapo Abiodun, inauguration of all state executive.

The Convener commended the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as positive impacts on party members and Nigerians, while also praising Governor Dapo Abiodun for his contributions to the development and security of Ogun State.

Penpushing reports that Akintunde equally assured that members of the movement would work towards delivering massive electoral support for the ruling All Progressives Congress  in the 2027 general elections.

“We are here to support our father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and also to appreciate our Governor, Dapo Abiodun, for his impactful leadership. We have been given a clear assignment, and we are confident that Ogun State will deliver the highest votes in the region in the 2027 elections,” he said.

‎Penpushing further reports that Akintunde acknowledged the contributions of party leaders, including the chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, and other stakeholders across the three senatorial districts, for their support towards the success of the movement.

The major highlight of the event was the presentation of 27 campaign vehicles to representatives across the 20 local government areas of the state, aimed at enhancing political mobilisation and outreach.

‎Penpushing also reports that as part of the programme, the Youth Wing of the movement from Ogun Central presented an award of excellence to Akintunde, in recognition of his contributions to the growth, sponsorship, and development of the movement.

The awardee speaking with journalists after the event, described the inauguration as a memorable milestone for members across the state, noting that the movement remains committed to strengthening democratic participation and delivering on its objectives.

“We thank God for making today a success and appreciate all our members across the state constituencies. We also thank our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for setting a legacy for us to follow. We are committed to delivering democratic dividends to the people,” he said.

‎Penpushing further reports that the inauguration of the Yayi Progressives Movement (YPM) is expected to further boost political mobilisation and strengthen party structures ahead of future electoral activities in Ogun State.
