The Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles on Sunday knocked the Super Eagles of Nigeria out of the 2021 African Nations Cup, to get to quarter finals, following 1-0 loss by the latter in the tension encounter

Penpushing further reports that, earlier before the encounter Nigeria topped Group D with nine points in the first round, while Tunisia qualified for the second round as one of four best third-place finishers, from Group E.
The Coach Augustine Eguavoen led team started on a good note, with Moses Simon striking Nigeria’s first corner kick after about 30 seconds while a bicycle kick of Wilfred Ndidi after two minutes failed to work out.
Penpushing also reports that despite Nigeria’s pressure, the coronavirus hit team ,had the first gilt-edged chance in the 10th minute but Ndidi was well positioned on the line to block Montassar Talbi’s goal-bound effort.
Meanwhile, with Tunisia victory the team will now move into the quarter-finals and will be facing the national team of Burkina Faso, who had earlier crushed the Gabon national team on penalties.
