The Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu on Monday swore in two new Ministers, Joseph Tegbe as and Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye as Minister of Power and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs respectively.
Penpushing reports that a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the short ceremony took place at the Council Chamber in the presence of the ministers’ spouses and senior government officials at Presidential Villa in Abuja
The appointments and swearing in follows the resignation of at least two ministers ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’ May 2026 primary elections, while it is recalled that the duo were nominated by the President on May 5, 2026.
Penpushing further reports that this follows the resignation of former Power Minister Adebayo Adelabu and former Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar, both of whom stepped down to pursue elective office.
Meanwhile, the Senate screened and confirmed both nominees the following day, May 6, 2026, with records having it that Tegbe and Enikanolaiye are the second set of ministers
