The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a private school teacher, Stella Nwadigo, who allegedly assaulted a 3-year-old pupil, of Christ-Mitots School in Isawo axis of Ikorodu, Michael Abayomi, during the school hours in Ikorodu local government area of the state.
Penpushing reports that the Command Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed this development explaining that as at the time of filing this report the suspect was undergoing investigation, added that as mode of operation in Lagos, the teacher was arrested and brought to the Police station in Ikorodu by the personal of the Lagos State Neighborhood Services (LNSC) for prosecution.
The Force Police Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi also confirmed the arrest of the teacher, explaining that she was arrested on Wednesday and gave assurance that justice must be served
“Child Abuse: One Stella Nwadigo, aged 45, the teacher who physically abused the 3-year-old Abayomi Micheal of Christ-Mitots School in Ikorodu, has been arrested by the police. She was arrested today, Wednesday 8th Jan, 2025, immediately after the criminal act. Justice must be served. Thanks’, Adejobi wrote
Penpushing further reports that it is recalled that crtiscim followed the inhuman treatment the female teacher meted on the innocent pupil as seen in a viral video, while sources disclosed that the suspect will be prosecuted under the child rights act law of the state
