The incumbent executive officers of Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), Oyo state council who have been returned unopposed for second term will be sworn in on Tuesday, shortly after the poll exercise.
Penpushing reports that, the Ademola Babalola led executive recorded victory for second term of another three years , following exemplary performances of the team, which include taking the union to greater height and transforming the council to impressive level.
The historic inauguration ceremony has been scheduled to hold at at Dapo Aderogba Hall Press Centre Iyaganku Ibadan by 3pm, with invitation already sent out to union leaders across the zones and national headquarters in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory(FCT) to grace the occasion
Penpushing further reports that the national secretariat of the union has attested to this victory, having written officially to the Chairman, Screening Committee of the council to approve the inauguration ceremony, and announcing the unopposed of all contestants to affirm the authenticity.
The letter dated 1st November, 2022 with reference NUJ/NS/ SC/82/Vol 1and signed by the National Secretary,Shuaib Usman Leman said Tuesday is approved for the election and immediate inauguration of the executives to see the affairs of the council for another term.
