Suspected loyalists of the self-styled Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo popularly called Sunday Igboho, on Saturday apprehended officials believed to be from the State Security Service (SSS) during the Yoruba nation rally in Osogbo, Osun State.

Penpushing reports that, the incident occurred at the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo, where the officials were said to be monitoring activities of the rally, and one of them was allegedly caught writing down vehicle number plate belonging to Igboho.

The 21 minutes video clip of the assault on the security operatives whose identities were yet to be independently established as at the time of filing this report were seen being interrogated by the loyalists of Igboho.

Penpushing further reports that, one of the apprehended ‘Department of State Security’ officials who identified himself as Seun Olayinka, while being interrogated he admitted that he wrote the number plate of the vehicle, and when asked for reason, was seen pleading.

The interrogators in the video were hear raining curses on the ‘official’ who claimed he is also a Yoruba man, and  told his interrogator that, he was on official assignment from the ‘State Security Service’ to maintain order at the venue and monitor proceedings.

Penpushing reports it was now however clear, what was the fate of the apprehended official after the interrogation, while as at the time of filing this report, the authorities of the Department of State Security (DSS), were yet to make any official pronouncement on the ugly development.

The Yoruba nation agitators were later seen driving through the streets of Osogbo, shooting sporadically into the air and urging residents not to vote in the next general elections scheduled to hold in 2023.

Penpushing further reports that, the State Security Service(SSS) spokesman, Peter Afunnaya, could not be reach to give more information and clarification on the identities of the said ‘officials”, while on her own part, Oyo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, said she was not aware of the assault.
