Suspected blackmailers have embarked on fake authored news to discredit the former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria,(CBN) Tunde Lemo, in an attempt to malign his character.
Penpushing reports that investigation reveals that the suspects who are all out to cause crisis for the renowned banker have been going about on internet to broadcast a fake and mischievous statement erroneously attributed to him.
The faceless authors of the fake statement, as further findings revealed are deliberately doing this, to get favour in some quarters at his expense, as the country moves closer to another round of electioneering campaign, and aimed deliberately to paint Lemo in bad light.
Penpushing further reports that, the mischiefmakers, have recruited some of their cohorts in the shady and criminal act, to deliberately cause disaffection between the former central bank boss and his friends with other associates.
The findings, however, show that, many of Lemo”s friends and associates have dismissed the statement as not genuine, adding that it was glaring that the act and actions of those behind the spread of the fake statement, was nothing but mischievous attempt to malign his character.
