Former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja on Tuesday advised   Nigerian government to stop treating the self acclaimed Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo popularly called  Igboho and leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu as criminals

Penpushing reports that Ladoja made the call while addressing a press conference at his Bodija residence in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital, warning that more Igboho and Kanu will emerged in the country if government is not careful in handling the case of the duo.

The Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, lamented that failure of Nigerian government to addressed challenges facing the nation led to the emergence of the agitators, advising that the duo as agitators should be given amnesty ,as much as that gestures were extended to  to Boko Haram members in Borno State.

“Federal government has declared amnesty for Bokoharam, they should also declared amnesty for Igboho and the IPOB leader. Just like Kanu, to some people, Sunday Igboho has also become a leader, people are agitating for what they believes in, Yoruba leaders including the Alaafin of Oyo has been complaining about atrocities committed by suspected Fulanis herdsmen and nothing has been done to it till now.

“Bokoharam members were arrested a year ago by the government and has been released to the Borno State government. Sunday Igboho was created in the context of killings in Ibarapa axis of Oyo State, nobody has been arrested for it, and even if they were arrested, they were later released, that is why people resolved in self help”, he emphasised
