Hundreds of youths drawn from different secondary schools in Ogun State converged on the Victory Plaza located along Moshood Abiola way, Abeokuta as participants for the maiden edition of a Special Teenagers Conference, with the theme “I Will Shine” organised by Save Her Foundation.

Penpushing reports that the convener Reverend (Mrs) Fola Achudume while addressing the participants  at the programme described children as the heritage of the Lord, noting that the society  is trying to grapple with  many challenges affecting the upcoming generation,

The founder of ‘Save Her Foundation’, noted some of these challenges include drugs abuse, child molestation, mental health concerns, depression, peer pressure, violence, among others, stressing that all these demand immediate attention.

Penpushing further reports that Achudume observed that sadly, these challenges have a noticeable lack of empathy and understanding, and called for pro-activeness from all and sundry, just as she encouraged teenagers to always believe in themselves.

The wife of General Overseer of the Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC), International, Apostle Lawrence Achudume encouraged an urged the youths to discover their inner strengths and fully utilize them towards a blissful future.

Penpushing also reports that she, however, opined that in the face of these challenges, the budding teenagers’ boast of great potentials that if well channeled would help shape their future, adding that with their unwavering confidence which they exude, their lights will shine brightly, illuminating the path for others to witness and embrace the divine presence of God in their lives.

The Reverend thanked the management and teaching staff of the participating schools for making their students available, expressed optimism that the teenagers will exemplify honour and uphold the tenets that the society hold dear, and serving as role models for all.

Penpushing reports that Achudume equally thanked the speakers and guests for creating time to be at the event, to have come to share from their wealth of experience, submitting that it was indeed worth the while.
