Royal seat tears community apart in Ogun State, as youths kick against proposed installation of controversial village head

Royal tussle has torn apart indigenes and residents of Solo Oke-Igbala community in Obafemi-Owode Local Government area of Ogun State, as some aggrieved youths and other residents kicked against the proposed installation of a controversial village head , Chief Imose Fadipe

Penpushing reports that, the youths in their numbers embarked on a peaceful protest on Saturday, saying that some influential forces allegedly influenced by Alake of Egbaland,Oba Adedotun Gbadebo attempted to impose the controversial village head, contrary to the customs and tradition.

The protesters with various placards explained that, after consultation with Ifa oracle, the choice village head was Akeem Idowu Olayinka, and that to the dismay of the community, some alleged dissidents in the community confused the Alake to install another person, because of their selfish interest.

Penpushing further reports that, the youths in reactions to what they described as ‘slap on the indigenes’ by the Alake of Egbaland and collaborators prevented the local chiefs from Abeokuta into the community for the installation of the controversial head of the village.

The protesters in their submissions declared that, the accepted village head is Olayinka, who was the choice of Ifa oracle, and that any attempt to impose another person will not be accepted by the community.

Penpushing  also reports that, it took the intervention of the police from Owode-Egba Division led by the Divisional Police Officer, Matthew Edhai to avoid violence and possible bloodbath  between the two parties involved in the royal seat.

The Divisional of Police Officer realizing possible outbreak of law and order by the two parties, as tension continued to mount from the entry point to the village, and to avoid untold ugly development invited the two parties to the station for amicable resolution.

Penpushing reports that, following the invitation of the two principal actors Imole Fadipe and Akeem Idowu Olayinka by the police, to find a lasting solution to the impending crisis, peace relatively return to the community as at the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, before the invitation of the duo, Olayinka on his own part said he had contacted his lawyer over the matter to take appropriate legal action, while Fadipe in his submission insisted that, Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland has given him nod as the authentic village head
