A Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO) Right Aid Health Foundation in collaboration with Onelife Hospital, Oshodi, Lagos have offered free medical service and surgical outreach program to the less privileged, aimed to provide succour for them
Penpushing reports that the 10th edition of the program, which held between August 1 and 31, 2026 was done in two stages, while week one, which took place from August I to 7, 2026 featured general medical consulting, eye care/optometry, pharmacy, medical laboratory, /diagnostic services, cervical screening, breast screening, prostrate screening, health education, counseling and gospel ministration, prayer and deliverance as well as gospel tracks distribution, welfare materials distribution
The second phase which covered August 8 to 31, 2026 involved are surgeries which are eye cataract, fibroid, goitre, lipoma, inguinal and femoral hernia, umbilical hernia, washing of teeth, dental extraction/teeth removal, appendix, breast lumps, breast cancer, and prostate enlargement.
Penpushing further reports that owner of Onelife Hospital, Oshodi, Lagos Dr. Adekola Adebola, speaking of the just concluded programme explained that the gesture was meant for those who cannot afford the cost of getting treatment.
“The free medical/cervical surgery program held in Lagos was meant to serve the interest of the less privilege. But while these two activities are free, patients will have to pay for the blood used for the program’, she said.
Penpushing also reports that Adebola, however, said that prior to the program, people came as far as from Oyo State for pre-event screening between June and July, adding that during the exercise, consultants from Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) among others were doing minimum of 9 surgeries a day.
