The retired Assistant Commissioner of Police Ayodele Fadairo who was the toast in one of the evergreen albums of late Kennery music icon, Orlando Owoh has been reported dead on Saturday at the age of 68 years.

Penpushing reports that the deceased, popularly known as Aunty Ayo L’Alagbon, gained prominence when Dr. Orlando Owoh mentioned her alongside other prison officers in his song titled “Experience,” released after his release from the Alagbon prison.

The cause of the death of Fadairo who was the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration in the Lagos State Command before her retirement was still unknown as at the time of filing this report.

Penpushing further reports that the demise of Aunty Ayo was confirmed through a memorial website created in memory of her with number of tributes, as symphatizers wrote that her memory with be with them forever.

‘Let the memory of Aunty Ayo be with us forever! Born on April 19, 1956 in Nigeria. Passed away on September 28, 2024 in Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria. This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, ACP Ayodele Fadairo (rtd) nee Salotun. We will remember her forever’, the website emphasised.

‘My darling sister, since I met you, you have been amazing sister. You were my prayer warrior, to me Simi & Chike’s song best describe our relationship. My children’s big mommy, anywhere you step, you lit up, wow. Words failed me, Aunty Ayo, you were strong and courageous but God knows best. I am missing you but I take solace in the fact that you are in a better place. Rest in the bosom of Almighty God till we meet to part no more. Love always Olasande’, a sympathizer wrote

Penpushing also reports that the deceased was an admirer of late Orlando Owoh’s music even before they met, who found inspiration in his music, and upon learning of his (Owoh)incarceration in Alagbon, she expressed a desire to meet him.

The duo subsequently developed a close bond, and Owoh held her in high regard having provided him with guidance and counseling, encouraging him to overcome his drug addiction and other challenges, while she was instrumental in supporting him during his time in prison.

Penpushing reports following news of Aunty Ayo death, the organization put several calls to her private number, but there was no response from the other end, as at the time of filing this report on Sunday evening
