A respected Nigerian legal luminary and a retired Justice of the Court of Appeal, Hon Justice George Oladeinde Shoremi has accepted the role of Father of the Day at the 8th anniversary lecture of Penpushing Media scheduled to hold July 23, 2026 at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential library, Abeokuta.
Penpushing reports that Chairperson of the anniversary lecture, Dr Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi made this known while speaking with journalists, adding that Awolowo-Dosunmu has equally confirmed to be physically present at the event.
The planning committee boss added that the lecture themed ‘Restoring Electoral Integrity: The Path to Good Governance and Public Accountability’ will be handled by a legal luminary Femi Falana, adding that in same vein four intellects will be joining him as panelists at the event.
Penpushing further reports that the father of the day commended the editorial board and planning committee of Penpushing Media, owner of online newspaper and television for the foresight and relevance in the media industry
The father of the day is a veteran in the Nigerian judiciary, his legal career spans decades of service, which is well-documented in platforms like Judy Legal Case, beyond his distinguished judicial career, he is an avid and highly active squash player.
Penpushing also reports that in his retirement, he resides in Abeokuta, Ogun State, where he has been noted for boasting over 50 years in the sport and playing more than 100 matches with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Meanwhile, the retired judge is a prominent member and the Chairman of the Registered Trustees of the Abeokuta Sports Club, Abeokuta capital of Ogun State
