A suspected ritualist Oluwafemi Idris popularly known as Alfa has been arrested by the Ondo State Police Command for unlawful possession of human parts in the Akoko Area of the state, following a search in his house where human parts were discovered.
Penpushing reports that the Command Public Relations Officer Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, who confirmed in a statement on Sunday disclosed that human parts found in his possession include human hands, three kidneys, three hearts, spine and tongue.
The command spokesperson, a superintendent of police in the statement added that the police got Intel from a reliable source that Alfa kept human parts in his house and intended to use them for ritual purposes.
Penpushing further reports that Odunlami-Omisanya explained on the information the police swung into action and apprehended the suspect, adding that the suspect claimed to be an Islamic cleric and that some of the human parts were supplied by his friend
“A search was conducted in his house at Akoko, and the following human parts were found in his possession: human hands, three kidneys, three hearts, spine and tongue. The suspect claimed he is an Islamic cleric, and some of the human parts were supplied by his friend, an Alhaji who is also a cleric and Samuel Kutelu’.
‘While he (suspect) supplied Babatunde Kayode (an Oluawo) three human heads. Oluawo and Babatunde Kayode have been arrested. Meanwhile, efforts are on to arrest the other cleric who he claimed sourced the human parts for him,” she said.
