The Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has called on Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) to find time to come and assess his administration performances adding that people of the state are integral part of his development agenda’s Charter of Needs.

Penpushing reports that Nwifuru made the call in his goodwill message at the second day programme of 21st edition of the Annual National Conference of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) held in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

The Governor represented by Commissioner for Information, Ikeuwa Omebe boasted that his administration has been doing and continue to do well, adding that it would be of interest if the editors can find time on a visit to see how far he has turned the state round for better

Penpushing further reports that Nwifuru said he was prepared to host the editors anytime they find it convenient for them to come for the assessment, just as he reiterated his commitment to boost the welfare and morale of workers.

The Governor explained that his administration has provided infrastructure that touched seriously the lives of the people, adding that no pensioner of the state workforce who retired from the service of the state is owed a dime.

Penpushing also reports that he disclosed that his administration has provided infrastructure that touched seriously the lives of the people, and has equally embarked on many projects across the state.

The Governor stated that completion of projects embarked upon by his predecessors are still being attended to as there is no abandoned project in the state, and described the state as very peaceful, with assurance that the government will provide favourable environment for investors.

Penpushing reports that he disclosed that though the state government had completed a lot of projects including the airport which was started by the former Governor, it has awarded overseas scholarship to over 300 Ebonyi state indigenes now studying in different universities in the United Kingdom.
