Peoples Democratic Party elects new executive in Akwa Ibom state

The Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has elected its new State Executive Committee at an election held on Saturday at the Uyo Township Stadium, where the incumbent Aniekan Akpan was re-elected for another term.

Penpushing reports that it is recalled that Akpan was first elected in January 2021 to replace the former chairman of Udo Ekpenyong, who died of coronavirus, while other elected include Edwin Ebiese as publicity secretary and replaced Borono Bassey.

The others are Harrison Ekpo (Deputy Chairman), Ibanga Akpan Brownson (Deputy Secretary), Augustine Esau Akpan (Vice Chairman 1), Inemesit Itina(Vice Chairman 2), Barrister Ekpong Edemumoh(Vice Chairman 3),Uμεμε Aακραβιο(Treasurer) and Effiong Ita Emah(Financial Secretary)

Penpushing further reports that the executives include Emmanuel Mbong (Organising Secretary), Edwin Edwin Ebiese(Publicity Secretary), Barrister Ekemini Uba(Legal Adviser),Andy Halifax Ekitok(Auditor), Inibehe Silas(Woman Leader),Ubong Effiong(Youth Leader) and David Umanah(Assistant Secretary 1)

The list also contained Anietie Sunday Akpan (Assistant Secretary 2), Umana Benjamin Umana (Assistant Secretary 3), Mabel Udom (Assistant Treasurer 1), Johnson Jumbo (Assistant Treasurer 2), Samuel Alfred Awakessien(Assistant Treasurer 3), Friday Ebong(Assistant Financial Secretary) and Regina Udonsek(Assistant Publicity Secretary)

Penpushing also reports that others include Fabian Emmanuel (Assistant Organising Secretary 1), Friday Uko Archibong (Assistant Organising Secretary 2), Lawson Bassey Ukim (Assistant Organising Secretary 3), Michael Eyo (Assistant Legal Adviser), Udeme Friday Johnny (Assistant Women Leader 1) and Agnes Okon Joe (Assistant Woman Leader 2)

The list include Alice Udoete Oyuho(Assistant Woman Leader 3),Ben Edengssenting(Assistant Youth Leader 1),Uchang Etim Akaka(Assistant Youth Leader 2),Itohowo Ibe Bassey(Assistant Youth Leader 3),Usenmfon Ibanga(Assistant Auditor)

Penpushing reports that the ex-officio are Sarah Ekwo, Hannah Sunday, Iniobong Ukwak, Imaobong Augusta Archibong, Esther Robson Umoh and Ofonime Michael Akpan

The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno while congratulating the new Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) executive, urged the team to conquer new territories and expand the party’s influence in the state.

“I sincerely thank my predecessor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, for his instrumental guidance in driving our shared success. With this new Exco in place, we are ready to push forward, ensuring victory in the upcoming 5 October local government elections and beyond’, Eno said.
