A prominent member of Penpushing platform, who is the Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi has lost his elder brother Olusegun Adejobi to the cold hands of death.

Penpushing reports that the deceased was a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and seasoned police officer, said to be a confidant and a pillar in the life of the bereaved police spokesperson

The Force Public Relations Officer in an emotional tribute posted on his Facebook page, lamented that he would forever miss the deceased popularly called Baba Oba, who he said came, saw and conquered

“I will forever miss you my beloved brother and confidant, Baba Oba, DCP Akinade Olusegun Alao Adejobi. Eki ijamo, omo onigbo dudu, ajoji o gbodo wo. Omo olowu oduru, aji f’epe sere. You have come, you have seen and you have conquered, Akinade. Love you always’, Adejobi wrote

Penpushing further reports that the late police officer served in several critical roles, during his career, was Officer-in-Charge of the Anti-Kidnapping and Anti-Cultism Squad at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID).

The deceased tenure at the anti-kidnapping and anti-cultism in Lagos was said to mark by intense field operations, before he was transferred to Jigawa State in 2017, while as at the time of filing this report his sudden departure was being lamented within the police community.

Penpushing also reports that family and friends of the deceased described him as a courageous, disciplined, and passionate law enforcement officer who left a lasting imprint on the police force, as well as everyone around him.

The President of the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN), Lekan Olabulo, in a condolence message described the deceased as a dedicated officer whose legacy would live on through the countless lives he impacted.

“Those of us who knew him can attest to the fact that he was a selfless servant, whose unwavering commitment and tireless work ethic spoke volumes. His dedication to justice and public service reflected his characteristically amiable nature. We have no doubt that he will be deeply missed by his colleagues, the community he served, and the Nigeria Police Force at large’, Olabulo wrote.

Penpushing reports that the entire membership of the Penpushing platform, owner of online newspapers and  television across the globe have commiserated with the deceased younger brother who is a prominent member of the global Penpushing platform.

The Founder of Penpushing Media, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji in a condolence message  said it was a sad news to members of platform, adding that when the news broke out, it was regarded as fake, until a personal confirmation from the deceased brother.

Penpushing further reports that Kayode-Adedeji said the news of the death of the vibrant police chieftain was difficult to believe when it hit the airwave and equally spread like wildfire, describing it as a big blow

‘The shocking news of the passage of the vibrant police officer came as a thunder bolt to our hearts, and it was difficult to believe when the sad news spread like wildfire, indeed, the demise was big blow to the country’.

‘The Deputy Commissioner of Police popularly called ‘Baba Oba’ was a mentor to many mentees, particularly in the police profession and was a source of joy to those who knew him during his life time, and exhibited wealth of experiences to better the lot of the society’, it added
