The first batch of Ogun State Pilgrims have arrived Saudi Arabia having landed at Prince Muhammad Bin Abdul-Azeez International Airport, Medina in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while as at the time of filing this report the second batch is already being airlifted.
Penpushing reports that the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Salau Dauda, who confirmed this said the 429 pilgrims who were conveyed by Flyness A330 Airline from the Muritala International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos at 10:45pm on Monday landed in Saudi at exactly 10:36am (8:36am Nigeria time).
The Executive Secretary of the Board, in a telephone interview expressed happiness for the arrival, assuring that the pilgrims would not disappoint the officials, state, and the country at large throughout the exercise.
Penpushing further reports that the board scribe emphasised that the last batch would be airlifted on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 10:45pm, recalling that 1,234 and three officials would participate in the Hajj exercise.
