The notion A FOOL @ 40 has been a phrase that I feared while growing up but with frequently asked questions, I got different meanings however decided to stick with the version that suits my interpretation by changing the narrative not to be “A FOOL AT 40 but BE FULL AT 40
My early childhood life started with unexplainable circumstances surrounding my birth, rather I made up my mind to be everything I can be and by extension touch and affect lives of people around me for good.
Some were born with silver spoons, for me there was no spoon at all therefore I have to fend endlessly by struggling to get a spoon for myself and still in the race of getting spoons for those who feel nothing good can come out of their lives.
Reaching this milestone, I want to appreciate Almighty Allah for the unmerited grace to be alive and to that man, Late Pa Sunday Oladipo Adigun who through consistency and perseverance made the best out of me. Although late but his spirit is still very much around and opening doors.
I thank every path I have crossed to be where I am today, my place of work OGTV, a platform through which I have carved a niche for myself and to my wonderful colleagues, to every beat I have worked and to that family who adopted me as a member and have always supported me when the need arises.
To friends, colleagues, associates and the extended Journalism family in Ogun State most especially the Chairman, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju who has been my brother for ages but coincidentally faith brought us together to serve our great Union, NUJ.
To my immediate family, my lovely wife and children, I say a big thank you. From Community Primary School, Ijaye through Reverend Kuti Memorial Grammar School, Isabo; Muslim High School, Isolu; The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta to Crescent University, Abeokuta, it has been the grace of God.
Overwhelmed with messages, calls and various designs of fliers which awash the social media, I am so grateful for the love and promise not to take all for granted.
To mark the Special Number and in memory of Pa Sunday Oladipo Adigun as well as support of people around me most especially the National President of ACOMORAN, Prince Adebayo Samsudeen Apelogun, Alhaji Fatai Ogunbayode Fatai Gbenga and others who are too numerous to mention but will update the list soon, we will be giving 40 People five thousand Naira each to uplift their businesses.
As I turned 40, I promise to continue to be the good boy you all agreed I am.
