Non-Governmental Organisation empowers widows for Christmas, New Year

A Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO) known as Hope for New Life Organisation has put smiles on faces of widows and the aged  in Ogun State with cash and foodstuffs donations to support them for the Christmas and New Year festivals

Penpushing reports that, the widows on Wednesday coverged at the headquarters of the organisation located in Onikolobo area of Abeokuta to receive the donations which were part of gestures from the Non-Governmmental Organisation  to make them happy during the festive period

The organisation headed by a retired Nursing Tutor, Mrs Bolatito Ade-Onajobi also provided uniform Ankara fabrics known as Aso Ebi in Yoruba parlance  for the widows and aged who came from the geo-political zones of the state

Penpushing further reports that, Hope for New Life Organisation was established in 2009 and got incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC) in 2014, is notable for following services : seminar/colloquium , educational support,humanotarian,social welfare, empowerment and medical.

The Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Bolatiti Ade-Onajobi while speaking at the ceremony explained that she ventured into  establishment of the Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO), after retirement from service, because of her passion to  make people happy.

‘After 35 years merritorious service with the Ogun State Government, I retired as Nursing and Midwifery Tutor , and because of my passion towards welfare of people I resolved to establish a Non Governmental Organisation that will be responsible for the wellbeing of the people’, she explained

Penpushing also reports that, after few years of the take off of the organisation, she thereafter approached the Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC), to get it registered, adding that in 2014 she got the certificate of registration.

The organisation boss, while speaking on  the gestures, assured that, it has come to stay, and going to be regular affairs, recalling that, before now, number of projects of benefits for the aged and widows had being executed

‘I initiated the organisation after my retirement, and I kickstarted the operations in 2009, and by 2014 Hope for New Life Organisation became incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC),and we have since remained relevant’, sh emphasised

Penpushing reports that, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Funmi Efuwape in her goodwill message said, the state government appareciated the genuine activities of the organisation in bringing smiles to the widows and aged at all time.

The Commissioner represented by Mrs Toyin Ogunyelere disclosed that government is also interested in their welfare, and will ensured rendering support for any Non-Governmental Organisations(NGO’s) which deemed it fit to take care of the widows, aged and less privileged

Penpushing further reports that, the commissioner also appreciated the beneficiaries  for comporting themselves well, and profusely prayed for them to have good health and long life, equally encouraged them to be cautious of their health as well

Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries,Madam Dorcas Oladeinde while  speaking on behalf of others was full of appreciation to the Hope for New Life Organisation for the gestures extended to them, even at this period of economic hardship in the country, and prayed for success of the organisation
