The Nigerian Media Executives from within and outside Ogun State are set to brainstorm on the theme, ’Speaking with the heart” “The Truth in Love” which is part of activities for the grand finale of the Weeklong 2023 World Communications day.
Penpushing reports that a statement by the Director of Social Communications, Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta, Reverend Father Gregory Fadele said the event been hosted by the Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta is scheduled to hold on Sunday
The statement said the thanksgiving mass as pronounced by the Holy Father, Pope Francis will take place at SS Peter and Paul Cathedral, Itesi Abeokuta, after which there will be a symposium at the Church Hall where top media executives will brainstorm.
Penpushing further reports that the Chief Media Executive expected at the occasion include: Dr Niran Malaolu(Chief Executive Officer Rock City FM Radio Abeokuta, Lanre Arogundaded(Executive Director, International Press Institute, Lagos) and Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji(Founder Penpushing Media)
The panelists are, Mr Waheed Odusile;(Ogun State Commissioner for Information and Strategy), Mrs Funke Egbemode(former President, Nigerian Guild of Editors and immediate past Commissioner for Information, Osun State), Lekan Otufodunrin(Executive Director/ Founder, Media Career Development Centre) and Mr Adeleye Ajayi(Chairman, Lagos State Council, Nigeria Union of Journalists).
Penpushing also reports that CAMPAN members across the diocese, other media practitioners, members of the Catholic Artists and Entertainers Association of Nigeria, members of the diocesan communications commission and staff and members of the Directorate of Social Communications in the Diocese, the religious and laity members of the church and members of the public are expected at the event while a communiqué will be issued at the end of the programme.
