The Minister of State for Environment Dr Kunle Salako has congratulated Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State on his victory at the Supreme Court affirming him(Abiodun) has the duly elected Governor of the state.
Penpushing reports that Salako in a congratulatory message noted that the Judgment which is the final confirmation of the overwhelming will of the people of Ogun State as expressed for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 gubernatorial election is not only deserving, it is an attestation that democracy is taking firmer root in our country.
‘It gives me a great delight to congratulate, my dear Governor, the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun CON on the Supreme Court Judgment of today affirming him as the duly elected Governor of Ogun State. This is a God ordained victory that is marvellous in our eyes and we bless HIM for the favour’, Salako wrote.
‘The Judgment which is the final confirmation of the overwhelming will of the people of Ogun State as expressed for the APC in the 2023 gubernatorial election is not only deserving, it is an attestation that democracy is taking firmer root in our country’, he added.
Penpushing further reports that the letter equally commended the supreme court judges for demonstrating again that the court is the beacon of hope for the people and democracy in Nigeria, stressing that with the final judgment all distractions in the path of governance in Ogun State has reached their end
‘With this victory, I am confident that all distractions in the path of governance in Ogun State has reached their end and the government of Ogun State under Prince Dapo Abiodun is reinvigorated to deepen infrastructural and human capital development of the State’, the statement reads.
Penpushing also reports that the Minister, however, called on members of the opposition to join hands with Governor Dapo Abiodun on his mission to take the state further forward so that people can benefit more on the delivery of dividend of democracy with a Renewed Hope.
