The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District at the National Assembly Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan has declared that it was too early to be discussing who becomes Ogun State Governor ahead of 2027 general elections.

Penpushing reports that Adeola made this known on Saturday at his New Year Get-together party held at Ilaro town of Ogun State which attracted hundreds of his political supporters and residents, adding that his focus for now was to bring developmental projects to his zone and some parts of the state.

‘This is not time for politicking. We are still busy in providing dividends of democracy for the people. What I’m doing is to celebrate the gift of life and celebrate with my senatorial district. I believe it is only fair and proper to appreciate those God has used for me to be in the Senate and to thank them for the good job they have done for me in voting for me to me in the office.

Penpushing further reports that the politician popularly called ‘Yayi’, however, dismissed insinuations of campaigning for the 2027 governorship election with his developmental projects across Ogun West and other parts of the state.

“I have friends that cut across Ogun State who share in my belief, I have extended invitation to them who are friends and well-wishers from other senatorial districts. So, in the future, we can start talking if the time is right for me to know If I’m contesting or not, the future will determine that’, he stated

Penpushing also reports that the Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, emphasized that year 2025 is not for politicking, but to consolidate on his achievements in 2024, adding that he is still busy providing dividends of democracy for his constituents, and not thinking about 2027.

The former Lagos State Senator and now Ogun State Senator assured his constituents of more developmental projects across the five local government of Ogun West Senatorial District in the 2025 budget.
