The monarch, who was just upgraded to a beaded-crown wearing king while speaking in an interview with journalists during a thank-you visit to the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, noted that series of meetings bothering on the state of the nation, with particular reference to the South-West, were held recently at the palace of  Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi’.

“It is the duty of traditional rulers to join hands together to end insecurity and brigandage. We, traditional rulers, held series of meetings. We even went to the palace of the Ooni in Ile-Ife.We held security meetings. The Obas in Yoruba land discussed the situation in the country and I know that sooner than later, there will be peace’, he stated.

“In Oke Ogun, we held a meeting on insecurity at the palace of the Okere of Saki. The meeting was on the way forward but we cannot open the lid on the details of our discussion at the meeting because of the sensitive nature of security matters.”

The monarch however prayed for peace to reign in the land, expressed gratitude to the Olubadan for his hands of fellowship to the people of Igboho and the roles that he played towards his upgrade as a beaded-crown wearing king.
