The Initiative for Gender Empowerment and Creativity has flagged off the Climate Smart Shea Facility – Al-Barka Plant in Ilesha Baruba, Baruten Local Government, Kwara State, facility with processing machines, borehole, creche, cloakrooms, raw materials and finished goods stores for the women and youth shea processors to produce premium quality sheabutter.
Penpushing reports that Executive Director of the organisation Mrs Olasumbo Adeleke made this known and explained that this was possible with grant funding from Estee Lauder Emerging Leaders and Vital Voices Global Partnership.
The Director in a statement made available to Penpushing Media reiterated the organisation’s commitment to develop women and youth in grassroot communities to improve lives, livelihoods and boost the local economy.
Penpushing further reports that in attendance were the Emir of Ilesha Baruba, representatives of Government Ministries, Head of Women Affairs representing Baruten Local Government chairman, title holders, women and youth groups and residents of Ilesha Baruba community.
