The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has admitted that Ado-Odo/Ota local government remains a major factor of making the state the industrial capital of Nigeria, hence the need to provide qualitative road network within the axis, adding that he won’t toy with developmental growth of the state

Penpushing reports that Abiodun made this known during the All Progressives Congress(APC) campaign rally  ahead of the forthcoming general elections, noting that in the same vein, the council area is one of the most populous local government areas in the state.

The Governor who earlier commissioned State Fire and Safety Services Station at Agbara said the local government deserves all attention to boost economic development, emphasising his administration  efforts towards completing the ongoing reconstruction of Atan-Lusada-Agbara road for the socio-economic benefit of the people.

“This local government is crucial to Ogun State and Nigeria. It is the local government that made us the industrial capital of Nigeria. It is one of the most populous local government areas in our state. I am here to inspect the 21-Kilometre Atan-Lusada-Agbara road. This road had been in bad condition for a long time and neglected by previous administrations. Trailers were falling on the road, making industries relocate to Ghana and neighbouring countries”, he said.

Penpushing further reports that Abiodun stated that his administration performances so far was an indication that he meant well for the state, assuring  the residents that when next he come, to the local government it will be  for the commissioning of the road.

The Governor on the  state-of-the-art facilities and an ambulance explained its aimed to attend to emergencies, disclosing that  three other stations had been built in Mowe, Ibafo and Isheri located in Obafemi-Owode local government area, adding  that his administration would always prioritize the infrastructure needs of the people to further accelerate the economic well-being of the residents.

Penpushing also reports that the Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Mrs. Olufemi Ilori, earlier in her welcome address disclosed that 150 Fire Officers had been employed, while four new fire stations had been built to boost service delivery.

Meanwhile, the chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, Sheriff Musa, in his own remarks expressed appreciation to the Governor, pointing out that the fire station was  long-awaited, expressing optimism that it would help curb fire incidences and provide job opportunities for the people in the area.
