I remain authentic governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress in Ogun State ahead of 2027 poll, says Biodun Ogundipe

The Governorship Candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogun State, Dr Abiodun Collins Ogundipe has affirmed that he remains authentic flagbearer of the party ahead of 2027 poll, emphasizing that there is no contentious over his candidacy

Penpushing reports that Ogundipe made this known on Tuesday at a media parley held at Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ibara, Abeokuta, adding that, primary of the party with participation of all aspirants were held and he became victorious paving way for his emergence as the acceptable governorship candidate to represent the party at forthcoming poll

‘There is only one Governorship Candidate of African Democratic Congress in Ogun State, and that is Biodun Collins Ogundipe. We held primary of the party with participation of other aspirants, and I won. There was no parallel election. The party leadership announced me as the winner of the primary and I therefore became the party governorship flagbearer, and there is no contest over this. I remain the authentic candidate of the party’, he emphasised

The Egba born politician explained that his joining politics was to positively contribute to developmental growth of the state, adding that he was born into politics, having come from prominent and politically active parents

Penpushing further reports that he disclosed that he inherited the skills and interest in politics from both his mother and father, emphasizing that he is not a novice in politics, recalling his days in schools and how he mobilised students towards electoral victory of former Governor Segun Osoba.

The renowned Artificial Intelligence (AI) expert disclosed that his active participation in politics had offered him opportunity to known nooks and crannies of the state, having been to all the 235 wards, even before venturing into governorship race

Penpushing also reports that Ogundipe, who explained that his running mate will be unveil soon, said he has equally made consultations with political leaders and veterans before embarking on the race

The Aerospace Engineer stated that if elected as governor he would turn round the state for good and positive benefits of citizens and residents, using his international contacts and connections

Penpushing reports that Ogundipe fondly called ‘BCO’ disclosed that his father a retired Mathematics Lecturer, was a former member of the Federal House of Representatives, former member of Governor’s Elders Advisory Council in Ogun State; while his mother a retired Chief Matron (Nurse), was Women Leader in Odeda local government area of the state, former Secretary to Local Government in Odeda-Opeji Local Community Development Authority (LCDA), and Convener of Odeda Elder’s Forum in Ogun State

The Technologist, and Social Innovator with experience in scientific computing, machine learning (ML), application development, robotics, and industrial applications, boasted that he has second address aside from politics just like his parents, stressing that in view of this he doesn’t see himself as a greedy politician

Penpushing further reports that Ogundipe who speaks five different foreign languages fluently is multi-lingual with proven leadership accomplishments across professional, business, and political spheres.
