The Egba born former Governor pointed out that he feels fulfilled granting the deceased her last wish describing her as political grassroots mobilizer and leader of many women organizations as a nontrans actional politician and a mother to all.

Penpushing further reports that Amosun explained that his presence aat the funeral ceremony was to repay the deceased her steadfastness., recalling that he knew her in 2001 when he joined politics to participate

“I knew Mama in 2001 when I joined politics and we were moving from one local government to another. She stood by me from the beginning to the end. Well, she’s is like a mother to all of us, a political mother because when we joined politics, she was one of the trust that I met in 2001. One good thing about her, she is a transactional politician she has stayed in the cause with us since 2001 till date that is why we are here.

‘Some years ago, she told me that, when I die bury me, my corpse is for you to handle and I told her that it was not yet time. She kept repeating the same thing. Like three months ago she told me the time was getting closer bury me when I die. And today here I am repaying her steadfastness’, Amosun added.

Penpushing also reports that Vicar Ven. Oluyinka Oke, in his sermon, urged humans to give back to the society and live their lives accountable to God reminding everybody that death is certain and all will die at a certain time.

“We will reap what we sow, people of all ages will die. Ask yourself when is my time to die? We came and also will go, but we must always think what legacy will i leave behind? What will people say about me after death? It is time to return to God, death can come anytime through accident, disease, suicide’, he said.

“Things are hard but only God can help. What is our help to the society? There is hunger, people are suffering, youth are wayward because they think that is the only way out. We will give account. We can serve God through our influence on people. There is a reason why God blessed you more than other in the family and society” he added.
